Circle the Wagons

When my mom was alive she and I had a code phrase for her to let me know when my or my family's presence was really important at an activity as opposed to being optional. She would tell me that it was time to "Circle the Wagons". So I sent an email to my family saying that in "uncertain times" (that is what Katie Couric says, and everyone knows how much I like and admire her) like these, we needed to "circle the wagons" as family and stay really close and I suggested that we all keep our blogs up to date as a way of doing this. That was 2 weeks ago and of course in spite of my good intentions, life got in the way and I dropped the ball. Some of you, and you know who you are, are giving me a hard time. So, here we go.

Also, lets remember that in spite of the bad news everywhere and our own personal struggles, and everyone has them, that we are all family and friends. What is really important is that we stick together and help each other out.
