Daniel's Eagle Court of Honor

Daniel's Eagle Scout Court of Honor was Friday, February 8, 2008. It was a big deal that Daniel worked toward for a long time. This was when we were escorted up to the front by Daniel and mom and dad got their Eagle pins. As usual, I am so photogenic, but it wasn't my night so I am trying to be a good sport and post this picture anyway. Notice the very proud Dad. (Seriously, this picture makes me look like a hunchback. I can't believe I put it on a blog! I am never wearing that shirt again and I am going to start working on my posture!)

This is Dan Zachreson, one of Daniel's old Scout Masters, administering The Eagle Oath.

This is the actual Oath being given. I don't know how Grandpa got away with taking pictures in the chapel but I am glad he did.

This is Greg Lee, another of Daniel's old scout masters, administering the Eagle Challenge. Daniel also awarded Brother Lee the mentor pin.

Later in the program the Bishop gave Daniel his "On My Honor" award. The Bishop then asked Daniel to say a few words which Daniel did, in typical Daniel fashion using as few a words as possible.

I wish I could have been there. Congrats Daniel. It seems as if Grandma called me only yesterday and told me that I was an aunt. I'm so proud of you!
